After having just watched Bomber Crew, I couldn't understand: When the bomb aimer directed the pilot to move, how could he see what was up ahead when he was looking through the bomb sight at the ground below, not the target up ahead?

Thanks in advance

Presumably the bomsight can be angled forwards.. like in game.

Yeah bombsights always look fwd of the aircraft - if you dropped on what was directly under you it would be impossible to hit anything http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

The more advanced sights allowed the bombsight to be rotated up several degrees, allowing the bombadier to look forward of the aircraft and spot the target.

When the bombsight was engaged in most of the more advanced bombers, the sight synced with the autopilot, the bombadier then actually had control of the aircraft. This kept the AC in level flight, but allowed the bombadier to make small adjustments to keep the sight on target.

In game, the B-25, He-111, and Betty all have these kind of sights. The Russian TB3 has an older style manual sight, limited to a vertical view only.
