I am a webmaster at a partner of Boomtown (who have featured on the sh-iii news page a few times), I spotted the preview a while ago that they posted, and yesterday I spotted the e3 movie. I played DC in the past, and got SH2 so I could do multiplayer, but for some reason I had problems running them for MP.

I have to say that the movies look great, am really, really looking forward to it. I've completed the survey and I'll add that this level of co-operation between devs and community is great. Only times I've seen it before is through my own site (it's based on racing simulations though).

I'm very curious about all aspects of this sim, the genre is just the kinda thing I like... B17 Flying Fortress 2 is the only one I play at the moment which seems similar to SHiii, but that's based on the famed planes from WWII obviously.

Anyway, looking forward to it!

Tim Wheatley I have figured out that for me with SHII and DC multiplayer you have to have a clean drive, and i mean very clean, Dont even surf with it. Keep just DC and SHII. The multiplayer connection is very sensitive that any spyware that could be on it will make you get disconnected. I had 2 DC computers and 2 SHII computers hooked up via lan and my fastest PC was hooked up to the internet. I had friends over and we had a good 6- 8 player game play with no problem. Sometimes there is one player to disconnect but usually one out of 4. All the LAN computers stayed connected just fine. Any slightest network burp on any PC would screw up the connection for the guy having that problem. Its best to PRECASHE SCREENS. just press F1 through 9 or what ever and select all the screens once the game is loaded. this way there isnt a slight pause while switching to new screens. This is one of the reasons Ive found the network for that pc to disconnect on them. Ive tested this on LAN and internet and it works best with these rules applied. Hope this helps. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

As a recent newcomer to B17-11, I agree this type of campaign is really good, one where your crew are individuals who get better with experience, whose morale is affected by the way the game develops, who can get injured or even die. Something on these lines in SH3 adds a whole new dimension to the gameplay and immersion. Fingers crossed for the dynamic aspects to the campaign!

The more real it gets the better the sales! I hope they perfect it! And anyways if SHIII is a success they are looking into makeing another DC to go against it. (its only rumor now) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
