I just switched back (4 days ago) to the PF side from a couple of weeks of the FBAEP side.

Flying a Hayate campaign on Iwo Jima, I noticed brighter than usual Japanese AC on the ground shaped like ME-262s. After landing, i got up close to look around. Dummies! Fighter dummies and bomber dummies!

they're decoys which were supposed to fool the allies who were attacking the japanese airbases.

The real aircraft would generally be hidden in the trees, or in camouflaged revetments, or something.
