I downloaded it at about 11 PM last night. No problems with the credit card or the install.

It cost about $28 Australian, if I got the currecny exchange right.

It took about 1 1/2 hours on a broadband connection, but I think that was because server traffic was so heavy. I downloaded at about 50 Kbps.

My guess is that you'll download at a similar speed, maybe a touch slower, as my connection is usually good for 100-200 kbps minimum, so I don't think it was a download speed issue.

I'm going to wait 'til most of the screaming has died down...

Does it install a download manager? This might be a problem, I'll have to do it at school. Through some oversight by the IT department, don't have god privileges.

You wouldn't think so, but look around. Some places won't let you access a usb drive, others will let you install and run software... provided you don't make the mistake of asking them. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

WTE Moleboy, I've never had a problem doing that so long as you tell them first. My local high speed Internet cafe even provides cds for a charge.
Be advised you will need 162mb plus about 4mb for the Boonty Box doohicky {which the I-cafe may not be overjoyed about} and for God's sake WRITE down your 32 digit alpha numeric unlock code when you hit the purchase screen before the download starts.
Where abouts in the Sunburnt Land are you BTW?, I'm near Newcastle,NSW.

I don't know about Australia, but in the states many highway rest areas and Truck stops have free, unsecured Hi speed wireless, just park in the lot and drop it on a laptop.

I live close enough to a hiway interchange with a truck stop that has free wi-fi. when my provider has problems I can log into thiers from my living room...hmmm
why am I paying for service then?????

Cause I'm honest thats why. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
