I was replaying AC1 when I thought of something,...

As I was going through the game, I got to the second Assassin mission in Acre, where you have to kill Salah al-Din I believe. While scouting out the place, I ended up in the fortress section of the rich district for a vantage point. It was upon entry that I recognized the place immediately.

I remember on another topic, someone had posted about Desmond's vision of Altair and Maria. They said that Desmond recognized it as Acre, but they thought it was Jerusalem. Desmond was correct,... but this is what sparked my thoughts on the subject.

Having recognized it, it would seem to me that the place Altair, and Maria, meet up would be where the vantage point use to be. The only difference is that the extra section of tower for the vantage point isn't there any more. In the flashback Desmond has it's a bed of hay (the spot where Maria lays).

So, my question in this is, do I have the right spot? Or am I mistaken? I'd be curious to see this spot through Altairs eyes, before he meets Maria, and want to make sure I have the right spot.

It's not Salah ad-din. That's the leader of the Saracens at the time. You mean William of Montferrat. As for which tower it is. I'm having trouble deducing which one you mean from your description, but it's the one right next to where you have to assassinate William of Montferrat (the guy who argues with King Richard).

I'm fairly sure you have the right place in mind, because I noticed the same thing. Aside from the one thing you mention, yes it's identical, even down to the difficulty of getting onto that one beam.

Sweet,.... so I guess that I have a question for everyone now then. What happened to the tower? Why is it no longer there? Does anyone know?
