Alright, we'll find a solution. I'm confident about that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. But first PLEASE, DO NOT POST HERE IF YOU DO NOT BELONG TO OUR GROUP http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif. We know it might all be our imagination or our laziness or whatever, although we seriously doubt it. So, PLZ refrain from posting to say you don't have it or we are crazy. Thanks.

Now let the session begin http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif .

* Exact Type of Joystick.

* 1-2 sentences for what you experience and

* the three lines of sensitivity settings that you find work quite good at the moment and at what expense (e.g. many started using "BnZ only" settings). And please don't overload the thread with config files.

I start http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

* Saitek Cyborg Evo ("twisty rudder")

* Using the rudder makes aiming extremely difficult. Even with my best possible handling and the finest moves the nose of the plane is thrown all over the place. Instinctively i usually choose to aim mainly with aileron. Ground attack is also very very difficult now. Seems very unnatural. Major problems with planes like F4U. None at all with Hurricane and several others.

* quite good settings
pitch 60 64 68 72 76 80 84 89 94 100
roll 60 64 68 72 76 80 84 89 94 100
yaw 40 42 46 50 56 62 70 80 91 100
and very very little dead zone for the pitch.

1: a Store brand MS sidewinder copy stick http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif. Its fairly new, and i've had no probs with it during 4.01.

2:Obviously, having no rudder or twisty-rudder on the stick, i have to use keys. I've noticed the wobbling when ever i use any rudder, or any pitch, be it a large or small input.
I've actually tried assigning rudder to the built in throttle on the stick, and am getting the same problem (its also bloody difficult to use that way!)
the wobble is most problematic with the pitch though, as i cannot keep the nose steady enough to hit the death star, let alone any of those dastardly 190's.

3: sorry, at work, dont have my conf settings.
though i do remember having my filtering set to the 4th level on roll and pitch.

This thread if posted earlier may have done more than other hundred similar threads about 'wobble' issue.

Counting the people with twisty sticks, rocker rudders, no rudders on joystick (keyboard use), with pedals and other rudder controllers. And their experiences.

Best thing is that it is anonymous http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif.

I can copy/paste your experience to extent (I didn't flew Hurricane for test tho and I don't use your joystick settings):

I have a PC Line Tournament Pro joystick (about 15 quid). Had it for over two years.

Flying the Corsair (any model) is pretty awful. And the P-47 isn't great. They just fishtail all over the place, and anytime I try to break to the right on the Corsair, I stall out.

Haven't looked at my sensitivities, but this is annoying, so I might try and look at it.

This is gonna sound stupid but I had this wobble problem ever since 4.01. I thought it was because I sucked and these were the new flight models. So I ran away to play BOBIIWOV for about 2 weeks. When I returned I downloaded the patch and it is cured, no more wobble. Now if I want wobble I play WOV, that one has some serious wobble.

It would be perhaps relevant if we also post the planes which wobble most or wobble very less.
my wobblers in decreasing order:
the terrible corsair (she's the queen http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif)
the mighty spit(tested only the '43 model)
p47 edit :almost bearable
p51 edit:but not so much, say it's bearable

my goodplanes:

Ki84b

can't tell about the other variants or planes.
Settings: all going linearly up to 50-60

Yep, I had it and hated it in 4.01, although the 109 and 190's were pretty stable, which was even more depressing.

4.02 was an immediate improvement, and once I settled on the settings below, fun again at last. Now I can actually shoot stuff again, which is, IMO, a large part of the sim.

X-52.

Clean reinstall for 4.01, 4.02 patched straight over with no clean out.

My opinion on this problem:

I done clean install, rebooted every time after patching, and still there is woobling. Little better, but still there.
I also save track files who showes how the plane is reacting with 4.01 and 4.02 patch.

What I conclude is next:

With 4.01 (and before him), when you go to the screen where you manage joystick settings, if you turn joy in circles, the green box goes aroun IN CIRCLES.
After 4.02 is applyed, the green box goes FROM X axis TO Y axis, like it's STICKY - NOT IN CIRCLES.

The "Wobbles" as I experience them.
1) the HUGE effect that even slight rudder movement provokes (this can be compensated for somewhat with the control input settings: I've tried lots of different fiddlings- I'm not sure where I'm at a now, some filtering on all axes- lots for yaw), and

2) especially the oscillations that follow any (paricularly rudder) input... extraordinarly aggravating when trying to get a bead in a turn fight, but even in a B'n'Z you can't make any rudder correction for aiming or you'll be spraying everywhere as your nose sways left and right of the target.

3) Pitch also causes oscillations, but not as bad as Yaw.

One odd thing is that it's now possible to do the AI "bat-turn": bringing the joystick smoothly back and to the side provokes a snap-stall in the horizontal plane which you can correct near instantaneously with application of opposite rudder within less than a complete revolution (still in the horizontal) and little speed loss.

Anyways... my set up is: MSFFB2 + CH throttle and pedals.

I DL'd the patch from a new source (first was from Ubi- the 30M file) and re-patched without success.

I've always loved getting updates, adapting to new FM changes was usually the matter of an afternoon or weekend's flying. I always just left the hardware input settings at default, never trimmed- just adjusted as necessary by control inputs... but 4.02 is completely different; frankly, so far I HATE it.

So far I have tried everything from reinstalling in every combination possible to stick tweaking in every combination possible...
wobble continious though!
i have been playing the series from the beginning (no noob) and never had it before, so something is definitely wrong and must be fixed.
I appreciate the help from people but statements like "wobble?!?, noooo,THIS is the correct way the planes should behave" are at least weird.
IMO the fact that noone from the dev team has stated anything positive or negative on the patch means that the problem is true and it's there.
Ende.
