First off, thanks for having a great server, Slammin', where everyone seems to be able to iron out any problems they have by using the iron in their bullets. That's the way it should be, imo.

I made an online track, and caught this:

Clipped wing Spitfire sees the 109. Spit is engaging fiercely.

The 109 tries to turn away from the Spit, both on a flat plane, as well as in the vertical. At one point, the 109 almost caught the Spit.

At that crucial moment for the 109, she spun around, and tumbled from the sky, only a few seconds before he would have had a firing solution.

Yes, Sir! This plane is a serious threat to any that will come against it. If she doesn't turn tighter, she can turn at least longer than anything she decides to turn with. Apart from my serious infatuation with the P-38 right now, this bird has me in awe.

Yeah couldn't agree with ya more man. After trying out every other new AEP plane on various servers, I kept noticing that my new n00b fav Ki84-C could not ever seem to lose any spits on my tail. After getting waxed a few times I tried the Spit again(full wing) and noticed that it's definately one of the sweetest handlers in the game; and I managed to get two 4 kill sorties in it as soon as switching. Yep, move over La.

Hmm... weird glow outlining the aircraft. An effect of image compression?

Thanks for the pictures!

Euw, to this Brit, clipped wing Spits just look all wrong. Where's that lovely elipse gone?

Plus in icons-off full-switch servers you're more likely to get shot at whilst mistaken for a 109. Although this was true in real life too http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Cheers, Spinner

No, Lindy, I used a little texture sharpening with Ulead, Photo Express, and it has that effect.

edit:
I also reduce the image sizes so people do not have to chase the text around in a thread. I try to make up for the image quality with the sharpening tool. Not the best, but a little more lively looking.

I find it really annoying to scroll back and forth to read text when huge pictures are posted, so I really appreciate your resizing to avoid that. You have posted some great looking pictures that fit well in the thread, bravo!

Clipped or non-clipped I just love the way the Spitfire looks and she sounds like a dangerous opponent.

Thanks for the pictures and commentary...the vast majority seem to be having great fun with this game http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
