Thoreau would say:

I can get War And Peace in paperback for $4.95.

You don't need justification, just the will! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Would Thoreau say that?

I have a feeling he would say,

"I want something of substance rather than the just the facts. I could easily pay that much to go up and fly something by myself."

Well, that is what he would say if he was till alive when aeroplanes of this caliber were invented.

Putting this aside for the moment, there appears to be very few publications about Britain€s fastest piston engined fighter...

Mores the pity, anybody recommend one? (Apart from that one!)

How interesting can the "chassis jack adjustment" of an obscure Fleet Air Arm plane be and is it worth 500 sterling???!!!I reckon even a millionaire would have to think long and hard about that one mate!!!Its like an original DeHavilland collection of blueprints or something is it?I reckon a massive colour illustrated hardback on secret Nazi jets or a collection of unpublished exclusive photos of russian air force aircraft signed by all the USSR aces bound in Yak(!) hide might be worth a hundred or two at a push if you were very well off at the time.....So anyone got an extravagant purchase (not too OT!!!) theyre prepared to confess!?
