You drag em into you internal reserves, when surfaced, no silent running and enough crew in the torpedo department.

Takes about an hour to move the torps from the top deck. If you have to dive then the process starts all over again.

See up top where it says Auto Loading, click on it to put check mark in it.

You don't need that checkmark to load external stores, in fact it makes no difference.

To be clear, one thing said above that I want to be sure you noticed is that you are to drag those torpedos to your internal stores not directly to your torpedo tubes.

If you have the crew in the torpedo room and are on the surface and dont have silient running engaged and you draged to the right place, then be sure to drage right to a torpedo box. Don't be slopy.

Also your aft facing external torp can only go to the aft torpedo room.

Finally, it looks like your on the surface but the externals are grayed out. Make sure you are on the surface proper with the 's' key, or that they transfer isn't already taking place. Move your mouse over the torpedo and read what the tooltip says.

The internal reserves are all the slots shown under your sub.

You know what I think is going on here? You DID successfully start the transfer. The external torp does not immediately pop into the reserve slot; it remains where it is and goes gray. As lecek observed, your externals are grey, the way it should look if the loading had begun (to quote Joni Mitchell). Try this: just hold your cursor over one of the external torps. If it's begun loading, in about a second you'll get a countdown: "39:37 until torpedo load", or somesuch.
