I have a seemingly unusual problem with my 2-3 month old X-52 stick - the second stage of the trigger is stuck on. While playing IL-2 I pulled the trigger all the way to fire cannons, and when I released the trigger the cannons kept firing. A check of the MFD showed that the stick was registering the second trigger as depressed, even though the physical trigger is released.
I restarted the computer, and this fixed it, but it happened again later, and a restart didn't solve it this time.

Has anyone else had this happen or heard of it happening? Does anyone know how to solve it, or do I have to return it as defective?

Go to the tech support forums at Saitek (SaitekUsa if you're in the US) and post in Joystick-->X-52 area. You'll get a response from someone there (probably Richard Neville) and he'll probably tell you to RMA it to them.

I think they have pretty good customer care/service.

Might try the following. Follow steps carefully.

Turn computer off.
Unplug X-52 from usb port.
Restart computer.
Turn off computer.
Plug in the X-52, with computer off.
turn on computer - test.
