NEW MAP - Singapore 2
This Singapore map template depicts a fictional scenario where the Allied Forces are making a push to drive the Japanese forces away from the peninsula. At the same time, both the Japanese Army and Naval forces are making it obvious they have no intent of leaving, and in fact are getting some help from the Germans on technological exchange. Note that Singapore is now in allied hands so it is not a part of the actual scenario. Unlike the other Singapore map, which is more historically accurate and earlier, concentrating on the action around Singapore, this template concentrates on the Malaysia and Sumatra areas.

* Red & Blue Flight Groups 1 & 2 operate/fight in the western part of the map with Sumatra-based Dutch and carrier-based British Forces facing the IJA and IJN in Malaysia.

* Red & Blue Flight Groups 3 & 4 operate/fight in the eastern part of the map with Malaysian-based British and US forces facing IJA and carrier based IJN forces.

NEW MAP - Northwest Europe
This Northwestern Europe template contains a ficticious late war and/or '46 type scenario, with US and British forces on the West engaging German forces on the East. There are several surprises and a very challenging environment. This map by default uses many new objects that became available with the new IL-2 Sturmovik 1946.

NEW SAMPLE UQMG DATA FILE MISSIONS:
* 17 New sample missions in 46_upgrd0016 folder

Improvements in UQMG GUI
------------------------
* Moved certain airplanes to the Allied "preference" side, so you will see planes like the Blenheim, Hawk 75, and Hurricane Mk.I in the list with the other Allied planes. Some, however like the B-239 which was a "big" Finnish AF plane and the Morane Saulnier series remained mainly as Axis planes (figuring that most of their use was in Vichy French or Finnish sides).

* Change pictures for a few aircraft in the database

* Minor improvements to aircraft database as well as some corrections

Installation
================================
There is a new UQMG Support Forum at AirWarfare.com. If you have any questions, feedback, problems, please post a message at:
* http://www.airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=25

WARNING: This UPGRADE is ONLY COMPATIBLE with UQMG for IL-2 FB+AEP+PF+1946 (versions 5.x.x and higher). It will not work with previous non-PF/1946 UQMG versions (versions 4.x.x and lower).

This upgrade is to be installed over any version of UQMG for FB+AEP+PF+1946 combo install (Not compatible with previous Non-PF/1946 UQMG versions). All subsequent upgrades will only be applicable to UQMG for FB+AEP+PF+1946. Only one upgrade version will be available at a time to eliminate confusion, and ALL upgrades can be installed over any version of UQMG for FB+AEP+PF+1946.

To install upgrade to UQMG for FB+AEP+PF+1946:
* Download upgrade WinZIP file from http://www.uberdemon.com/downloadpage.html
* UnZIP it in the UQMG for FB+AEP+PF installation directory, which is generally "c:\program files\uberquickpf"
* Right Click on the zip file and then go to the Winzip options, then select "Extract Here".
* Overwrite files if it prompts you to.
* Start UQMG from the Start Windows menu.
* Whether you are familiar with UQMG or new to it, I recommend you to click the "Tutorial" yellow button to start enjoying the features of UQMG right away. It is easy to read, and you will have lots of fun with it building missions that are very playable.

What do you mean you have a life outside of IL2?

Seriously UD, outstanding work, and your efforts are really appreciated, thank you so much, and has Oleg approached you to help with BoB....because if he hasn't, he really should.

Cheers, MP.

This is FANTASTIC!!!!!!

I tell ya D.. I would love to see you and CS put your heads together and see what you could come up with. I just know that if the two of you did that you could come up with something like simulated trigges for the mission builders.... Then toss in FoW (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/50910533/m/3401024833) when it is done and YOWZAA!!!

I have 4.08m and no UQMG. What files do I have to install before installing this upgrade?

UberDemon

go to download page in my site and follow instructions.

One installation, generate a mission, then install upgrade... that easy... but please follow instructions to avoid UQMG not working properly... plus go through the tutorial... a fun way to learn UQMG.

CrazySchmidt and I contemplated putting our thoughts together on a combined project... I put together some prototypes and sent to him but nothing more than that happened... problem is that we are on the opposite sides of the world... and our families and jobs make it absolutely impossible.

As you can see there is no periodical update... and I am around only scantily... I travel a lot, and depending on the project I am working on, makes things difficult.

There is always hope though... I did manage to do some easy integration with ShiftE (QMT's creator.

I really want to finish with all the maps before I start doing new projects... kind of a goal of mine. It will take time but I already started working on my next map (Nomohan incident template).

UQMG = UberQuick Mission Generator... something between the QMB (Quick Mission Generator in the game) and FMB (Full Mission Builder in the game). Offers more options than QMB, but not as complicated as the FMB.

Please go to my site and download installation and then latest upgrade. The tutorial will get you going.

Oh man, isn't it unfortunate how perceptions can vary and affect final outcome. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif UD, I'm very sorry about this, I was actually waiting to hear back from you on that project or so I thought. After our initial correspondence and some discussion of original concepts, you had mentioned that your personal and working life had become very busy and you weren't sure that you would have sufficient time to commit to a joint project. As I never heard anymore I thought that things had become too busy for you to go any further with the concept.

Who knows mate, maybe SoW may present an opportunity for a united project. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Yeah... what I meant was really my lack of time. I've been taking a small break from work the last few days and that is why I was able to update my old programm... and at that, I have not done anything with the coding... just the scripts. I installed SP6 on my VB and am afraid I'll have to release a completely new installation if I update the engine, because the last install I made was SP5, so it would cause more problems than anything else for the users.

Been thinking about starting something using VS.NET 2005 but that has taken a backseat to work and family as well. Not that it is a bad thing of course, just no time.

I have hope we'll be able to put our heads together at some point. Maybe we'll start a 3rd party development company or something. Who knows, maybe I can get a gig somewhere in your side of the world and we can at least work around similar schedules... ha! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
