Look at this marvel...

I hope it would be possible to get this model into BoB, Oleg should really take a look.

There's a thread with many beautiful renders here:

The guy didn't make it for BoB...

But it would be great to have!

Polish and French BoB add-ons are under way.

Would be great to have a Dutch one too.

Then they should all be in one single "blitzkrieg" add-on.

Well, I can dream...

I emailed the modeler of this plane a question whether he wants to participate in any current projects and here is his reply:

"The fokker G1 actually started out as a project that would be converted for use in IL2 later on. Unfortunately I have also noticed that making a model for IL2 will take a very long time and much work. Time I do not really have in abundance. If you know someone who wants to build the cockpit side of things, I will definately consider making this model, or the seafury and mig15 into a realtime model for the game.
Thanks,
Wiek"

So whoever interested in recruting this talented but busy guy may find his e-mail on his website. "

You must be kidding. You'd have to have a 50GHz CPU to render that real time in a game.

yes; some polys need to be shaved off the model, but it's not too different from the bob models we have seen so far...

I gotta tell ya, "shaving surfaces" is often a lot harder than just redoing from scratch.

The whole concept of "low poly modeling" is completely different from "high detail 3D modeling". One does not lend itself as a template or even a starting point for the other.

But she's really a beauty!
How I love to handle that plane in whatever sim!
