If there ever is another patch...which I seriously doubt unless BoB is more behind than we all know, I have a couple of requests....

1) Take a close look at the DM of the Ki-27. This thing is tough as nails considering its vintage and construction...should light up like a roman candle.

2) For god's sake please fix the FM of the Hurricane IIb and IIc. Either the WEP doesn't work or I just can't notice it. The plane had something like a 200+ hp increase over the Hurricane I with like a 100# weight increase and it is slower ingame than the Ib. With the cool Burma map, it is a bummer to get chased down by Ki-27's and Oscar's so easily...i fully expect to get out turned, but not run down like a rabbit on a dragstrip.

btw...I have no tracks but lots of experience

Whoa!! Tested it a bit, something is very fishy here. My first pass at it with a HurriMkIIb:

and a cockpit closeup:

some 8 to 10 bullets went straight through pilot, yet the Ki-27 happily flew on with a mere oil leak.

Bogus DM of some planes really reduces the potential of their contribution to this simulation. Lagg3, I-16/153, Ki-27, He111 among them.

How do you turn that bullet visualization on ??

conf.ini file, change the arcade=0 to arcade=1, or the other way round. alternatively download Il-2 Stab from the list in this thread http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/9121094645 - lets you edit bits and pieces in a more friendly gui than a text file.

in my opinion the Ki-27 would "need" the following improvemnts:

- overwork of the DM....... in comparison to the Ki-43, A6M2 and even the Ki-84 it's much to difficult to set it in flames.

- give it a Constant Speed Propeller , to get a better acceleration, and ad a negG-cut out to the engine.
AFAIK in real the Ki-27 had a manual pitch propeller (like the 109s in game on manual).

- the cockpit speedgauge is a Knot one(that is used in the game's Navy planes) but is reading km/h. this is causing the proplem that it is showing as max ~300km/h . with its limited max Divespeed, this iTs dangerous not to know hoa fast you are when the speedbar is disabled http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
the best would be to change the speedgaugetexture, but that will doubtfully happen . So, perhaps, even it would be ugly for an Army plane, the Speedgauge should show knots !

And no armor protection, either. That pilot should be leaking like a seive.

Noticed it in WSBS, those things just suck up the damage. They usually start smoking or leaking fuel rather quickly but it needs a lot of bullets for critical damage.
