Well the old wolves, if they are still around, we all had 100K easy, quite many 200K. When they do they only hunt big boats like tankers and battleships.

Average for a patrol should be between 70K and 90K, but this depends on the year which says what targets are available and then the sub you are skipping, does it have gun or no, how many torpedoes and of what type.

Keep practicing.

My personal best, and the highest posted to date on this SH3 forum, is 217,794 tonnes, in an IXB. I was blessed with good weather to start with so I was able to sink a few merchants with my deck gun befoer using my torps.

My best ever score is just over 137,000 tons. I would have posted the score details to the 100K members list, but I already had another patrol worth more than 100K that got posted - so what's the point in posting again? I have achieved the magical 100K many times.

Anyway as mentioned before, most of those who have scored high are veterns (of the game) who are playing on max realism, but the game requires a lot of patience and the ability to hit the convoys that matter like those high with Capital ships, Tankers and other high tonnage merchants, and of course the ultimate prize - a Passenger Liner!!

Keep it up and you will soon be posting a 100K patrol.

I've just finished my 5th patrol in my fourth career, and I am immensly proud!

I'm currently playing at 100% difficulty and managed to sink 78000 tonnes with my VIIb!

And in all that I managed to spend 4 torpedoes on NOT sinking a lone C2....

I've been very lucky with the weather, making it possible to use all of my artillery-ammo.

The reason for my (in my opinion) high tonnage sunk is that I got a message of a convoy nearby, and the radiomessage gave the speed of the convoy to 7 knots. I allways find it difficult to estimate the ships speed. When the message came I only had 6 torpedoes, 80 He shells and 40 AP shells left, but I managed to sink the sole escort and then harrass the convoy for about 8 ships..

Got Knights cross with oak leaves, Knith cross with swords, and german cross, plus 3200 renown for that mission..
