We have some brand spanking new screenshots for you to view on the screenshots page (http://www.silent-hunteriii.com/uk/screenshots.php) and these show the VIIB conning tower and we hope you like them. Today's question is:

(one.zero): Will the new SHIII have a more realistic resupply? The current version makes little or no use of resupply, it seems to only work in very few scenarios and its presentation is very poor when its part of the mission. I would like to see a more frequent ability to call upon resupply and a more realistic presentation of the actual supply, fuelling (static & dynamic) and of course the ammo supply rearming effort.
(Devmteam): I assume you are referring to SH2 as current version. It is our intention to include ressuply as a part in the dynamic campaign.

This Sim is going to be meggafantastico http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/RedTerex/applaus.gif

Also what is now apparent is the modelling of all the coastline with trees, folliage the odd building etc..Hmm all due to the Dynamic Campaign I suppose...Of course...gosh...all the coastline needs to be rendered now ! and your doing it !! waheeey teriffico !

Also well worth commenting on is the realy nice atmospheric effects with the shading of the seas, sky, etc to depict different times, seasons of the day, realy cool ! good work ! 10/10

Thanks for the groovy screenshots DevTeam, whetting our appitites is now a proffession for you Devvies ! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The screens are brilliant!
But it`s first time I so such modification of type VIIB (I mean 2 flaks)! If someone got photos of this modification please let me know.
Besides I notice that boat on pictures of 2_single_flaks and 2_twin_flaks_late_war looks the same. (or it is just my mistake?)

Liked the boats running along side in the back ground in the second pic, so we can expect fast patrol boats to take us out to sea. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I just know when I find ships it will take me all year to find out if they are foe or friend.

Nice pics I have to say. Which will be next? You shown us VIIB. VIIC next? Or directly to the IX?

The twin flak platform was infact a modification on a Type VIIB in early 1943. (Only known boat that i am aware of with this platform configuration is U84 of the 1. flotille. Sank on 7 Aug 1943 by a MK24 homing torpedo, launched from a B24, in the North Atlantic. All hands lost.)

These screenshots r outstanding, the detail definitions seem to have been improved upon since the early shots. Truely accurate work indeed.

Yay, my favourite sub http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
and an interesting AA config! i don't recall ever seeing/hearing about that config before, kinda makes me wonder, what where they thinking? lol, taking on a ASW bomber with 1 or 2 20mm guns? it's pretty nuts http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
its just added weight and reduced hydrodynamics for very little gain http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

well, AA configs aside, the shots are great http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif and the coastlines are terrific http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
waiting... becoming... very... difficult http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

nice work devs http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Just what I was thinking... That extra platform had to kill hydrodynamics, and probably provided a bigger area for sonar and radar to reflect off.

Anyway, love the shots and the level of detail.

I agree with you, and I hope it will be have an effect in the game, so we can play and test how effective it will be against the planes, and how it affect on sub`s stelth and on it`s manoeuvrability.
Can`t wait to see it!!!

well i,m glad the dev team got the conning tower right this time . it looked a little strange in the stormy weather footage . when i started the winter garten flaw topic i was right all along . great work from the devs . i do hope the second flak nest is optional , becuase i will sail without is . it lookes ugly and slows my allready slow u-boat under water.
