Are you sure it is a legitimate copy? They think nothing of piracy in that area of the world.

Just a hint: If your with Thai friends and you like something on the street like a T shirt, let them buy it for you. They raise prices for farong. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It was still cheap compared to the US, but my Thai wife could have got it cheaper.

And flakwagon is right, lot of pirated software over there. I'd rather support Oleg. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

fake ones are like 120 baht
I only buy real games.

Maybe maddox hire me i get pics of all shops selling his games that are pirated.

Heres the link for 1946

http://www.zest.co.th/www/main/detail.php?product_id=GME0001020&catagory=3

I went to their website before going to make sure they had it.
This game is real and NOT PIRATED.

Don't know, maybe so.

What I do know is that when I visited I was living in Japan, and I checked out a Thai mall for some PlayStation 2 games and accessories, and the prices were the same as Japan and the US Base Exchange (Military WalMart http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif )

To me this indicates that while many other things are cheaper, licensed products are not, in my experience.

On the flip side, my wife could have taken me to some places where it would have been cheaper.

In the Ukraine, official 1C CDs are 20 grivnas for a single CD , doubles are 40 grivnas, or $4 and $8 approximately. Pirate copies are usually around 10 grivnas so the price advantage is small- no reason at all to buy the pirate version (which may well be full of nasties). Official Microsoft versions of XP and Office were around Western prices on the other hand; pirate versions of XP were 15-20 grivnas. So, nearly everybody in the Ukraine uses pirate copies of XP and Office at home since they work just as well as the originals.

The reason the 1C disks are cheap is because 1C is the distributor in Russia. The rest of us (AFAIK) get it from Ubisoft.

I'd just like to say that I bought a Trust stick and for nearly 10 days it worked flawlessly before morphing into a piece of junk.

Cr@p with a capital K.
