So it seems to be possible to run half submerged at around 8/9 meters depth and the diesels are still running http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I wonder if the sim engine recognises this as lowered visibility, though.
And I think one should be able to access the bridge when half-submerged (which at the moment can't be done) or am I mistaken?
It would also be nice if there was a manual switch or a LI command to switch form diesels to batteries. Like running surfaced but on battery so as to not make so much noise...

Cheers

even if the sim doesnt calculate for the amount of ship above water you will still have a quicker dive time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Only in calm waters tho, as in bad weather i bet ur tower will be dipping under in the waves

its a pain that it doesnt recognise that the sail is above water with most of the hull submerged cuase that was a real u-boat tactic the captain an watch officer would stay on the bridge while the u-boat sumbmerged so only the bridge was clear and conduct attacks that way.
