I once used the saitek software but quit. I also have a nostromo n50 laying around.

So, I thought I would hook up the nostromo and program it for TeamSpeak... I was just planning to add a push-to-talk switch and a few pre-made channel switches for warclouds.

But I got to playing around with it and found I could use the slider as my flap contoller. Then I figured I could use a few of the left-over buttons for trim. Before you know it, I've figure out how to cycle-shift with one button and now I've got 43+ buttons to map.

Soooo....

I made a macro that selects engine 1, starts it, selects engine 2, starts it, and carries on untill all 8 engines are running and then is selects all engines for throttle control. Instant multi-engine start http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

GIVE ME MORE OF THIS!

Now I've installed the saitek software. Haha. Who knows what kind of craziness i'll come up with.

Has anyone programed "Bands" on the rotaries when in different shift states? I'd like to map a rotary to mix 0% through mix 100%, and just switch to the new mode when needed, but have the rotary act as prop pitch when the stick is not shifted to another state (I hope this makes sense).

Anyone got any other cool macro ideas?

I cant believe no one wants to share macro ideas... then again, most of you probably don't want to admit to using secret lag triggers and stuff. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

"secret lag triggers" ?
hmmm if they're on Saitek sticks I should know... owning and using an x45 and an evo at the same time http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ... no such thing

Anyway I got more buttons than I can press at any time http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif - so I don't use profiler software ... confused as I am by all the buttons http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And "banding" = assigning keys to a range of a slider http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif - man - I'm allmost depressed RBJ don't read this.

Make the bands not-touch http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I did use that for FOV on the "rudder-rocker" - http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif - man - finaly they got rid of that...

That's just awesome Baldie. I've looked at the Nostromo nuerous times wondering how I could make my rig more versatile, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. That's good stuff. Thx

Yep sounds cool! I am wondering do you have pedals hooked up too? Been thinking of getting the nostromo aswell but have kept from it till I hear of someone hooking it, joystick and pedals all up and make it work.

I have the x-45, and ch pro usb pedals already.

I have rocker banded to enging control. Pm me and I'll send ya my profile in the morning so you can see it, if ya like.
