The guy said the aircraft is believed to be the only Bf-109E left flying. Didn't say the only 109.

Sound is very similar to a P-40 I heard recently. Was at the 4 o'clock position very close to it during light-off and runup and taxi out. I recall being somewhat surprised and disappointed by the fact it sounded more similar to a generic general av plane ( or lawnmower! ) than the deep throaty roar I expected a 1710 CID V-12 would make. Same for the P-51 in my experience.

A high speed flyby running a good throttle would sound better I'm sure. The 109 G-2 video clips were great but tantlizingly short.

Wow,bf109E is a very small plane.I always thought it was bigger.Are all the 109's this small...say like a K4?
