Hey all, I'm new here, but I've been around forums such as the Playstation forums.

Anyway, I created a thread which has created quite a commotion. You can view it here:

http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/messa...ate_ascending&page=1 (http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=pspgames&thread.id=441011&view=by_date_ascending&page=1)

Well, we created a petition which you can sign here:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/ac4psp/petition.html

Anyway, to get to the point, I felt that the Playstation Portable (PSP) deserves this game seeing as the Nintendo DS is acquiring a version of the game, and so I just wanted to see what you guys think of the idea.

So, go ahead and sign the petition if you want,
and feel free to ask me any questions, or post any ideas.

you de realise how basic the ds version will be dont you? if they were going to mkake it for the psp they may as well make it for the ps2 as well the ds is a very low power handheld with very limmited 3d it will be nothing like the game so the pertition will most likly be ignored as what you are asking they may as well make an entirly new game.

No dude, I mean to make the REAL game on the PSP with less crowds and less graphics than on PS3.

I know what's wrong with the DS version, that's the reasoning behind this, the DS version is so crappy that we think it'd be a better idea to make it on PSP. As far the petition, we've got 11,700 some signatures already, so I don't think it'll be ignored.

Not to mention N4g.com mentioned it, QJ.net, Gamespot, and others too, so I made an account to talk with ubisoft and their supportes directly. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

to be honest the production cost is probly alot higher than 11k games would make. since the fact is it is imposible just to scale one game to the other as all the systems use differant coding so they would basicaly have to do the game code from scratch and redo every modle to scale down the detail to match the ability of the psp. pluss if you are trying to get the attention of ubi you are going about it the entirly wrong way as things like this in a public forum are usualy burried in a day or 2.

even though it would be really nice having it on a psp, i don't think there's any chance of ubisoft doing it.
the production costs would be about as high as piracy on the psp, which is the main reason developers don't put much effort in the system. too few psp owners actually buy their games.

As far as it would cost a lot to make the game, if the game costed $50.00, and all of the 12000+ people that signed the petition bought the game, plus the lets say, 8,000 people that just heard about it when it came out, that's 20,000 x 50 which is... $1,000,000.

also considering that Assassin's Creed sold around 5 million copies on both PS3 and Xbox 360, divide that in half and you get 2.5 million copies. Round that to 2 million copies cause the PSP is a handheld and what do you get? $100,000,000!!!

Even if there is a vastly smaller amount of sales that's still a big number. All the assets of Assassin's Creed are already there, and they'd just be making it easier themselves.

As far as piracy, don't you think that is a really big generalization and huge leap in logic to say that
A. The PSP is easy to pirate
B. That's why developers don't make many games on it.
C. That only a few PSP owners buy their games.

So I'm optimistic that there is a good chance of that Ubisoft making the game, so whether you want to be pessimistic or not, why not support the effort?

with a ordanary sony psp battery and a memory card any psp can be made to play pirate games and their is illegal versions of every firmware that allows people to play game iso's from the mem card so due to the need for hardware being no differant to what you need to use the psp anyway it is easy to pirate on. basicaly any psp ever made can be made to play pirate games with nothing more than a simple software mod and due to the fact there is no need for a hardware mod any1 could stumble across this and do it as it doesnt need any ability to solder or take the psp apart.

so lets take your 12k signiture the fact is probly over 6k of the people who have signed will have a custom firmware and play pirate games. less and less games are coming out on psp because of this problem. the unfortunate thing is these firmwares were made so people could run homemade programs on the psp but unfortunatly it also leaves them wide open to piracy its even easier than a swap magic disc on a ps2 as once its done you can just get on with it as it is always there built into the psp.
