Hi Everyone,

The SEOW Development Team is proud to announce the latest system release, dubbed Manchuria, after WTE_Goanna's outstanding sector support for that map. For more information, check out the release notes at http://raf74.net/seow/viewforum.php?f=4 . SEOW Downloads are at https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115125 .

SEOW is now entering its fifth year of development. It supports comprehensive strategic and tactical WW2 operations in 33 different maps across Europe, the Med, Asia and the Pacific, using the IL-2/AEP/FB/PF sim as a playable combat module. SEOW is essentially a tool for running intense, multiplayer online campaigns in an extremely detailed, rich, realistic and persistent battlefield environment. SEOW pits teams of commanders and pilots against each other, in a battlefield context where every unit (ship, boat, truck, car, tank, aircraft) and every bridge, factory, fuel dump, airbase plays a crucial role and is targetable. Humans are solely responsible for what happens on the map - there is no predictable computer to play against. Secrecy, reconnaissance and surprise are paramount. Weather conditions affect the campaign, supply lines must be maintained, unit morale must be managed to prevent desertions!

A full range of combat options is supported. Carrier operations, beach assaults, supply drops, glider operations, level bombing, ground attack, armoured assaults, flak traps, task forces are all available and all at your direct command. Factory production of reinforcements makes campaigns open-ended, unless you bomb your enemy's factories! Freight transport is imperative. Scenario design is unrestricted - all in-game objects are supported. Campaign progress is reported through a comprehensive and amazingly detailed Statistics engine which now presents reports in six languages! (English, French, German, Italian, Serbo-Croatian, Finnish). IAS/TAS conversions are now automatic for each aircraft type according to Hardball's data.

This is essentially a military-grade combat/campaign simulation system, contributed as open source, for free. Feel like taking your IL-2 simming to the next level? Then join the SEOW discussions at http://www.raf74.net/seow .

Hi Grillo,

If you have questions, ask away! Otherwise, the SEOW forums are useful, and Teamspeak chats are always available. Most times of the day you can find me or other SEOW users online for a chat.
