I noticed an inconsistency with Ezio's costume. If you focus on his right shoulder in the trailer then you notice that there are red stripes.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVWhWsgHzKM
(the best view is at 1:42)

He also has the stripes in the demo.

(the best view is at 1:54 as he is getting into the flying machine)

But on the game case his right shoulder is covered by plain white cloth.

What's up with that?

I also have been wondering about one of Ezio's possible moves.

At 2:45 when Ezio jumps from the beam, will we be able to do that in the game? In AC1 Altair would go from standing, to hanging on the side of the beam before he would drop. Will this be a move that we can use to decend faster? Maybe go into high profile, press free-hand by an edge and Ezio will do that badass drop?

ah, I see, it looks like in the game package pic it's blotted out by the source light, I see a faint image of the same stripes, but it's blotted and as for the drop, I really hope so, that would be an awesome new way to kill people drop on them from above, or just a fun way to scare people

the strips could be a costume upgrade the same as they say near the end of the game you get the black master outfit.

Well the two models used in the video are different.(They used different technology) There's bound to be differences with cut scenes like that and in game graphics. Seriously, just look at the cut scenes for any of the classic Tomb Raider games then look at the in game graphics. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Also, as for Ezio not grabbing the beam when dropping down, again, it's a cut scene there's going to be differences. The cut scene isn't running on the game engine (at least not fully I'm assuming)

There's also something funny the black edition pictures (most of you probably noticed this already):
http://gallery.thatvideogamebl...c2_black_edition.jpg (http://gallery.thatvideogameblog.com/albums/assassins-creed-2/ac2_black_edition.jpg)
If you look at the reflection of the black box (the center one), you'll see two ubisoft logos in the reflection! But there are no ubisoft logos on the box. Huh?!

you need to check the contrast on your screen http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

should stand out more on this.

Really? They don't use the same technology? Gosh, I never would have considered that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

That shouldn't make a difference for a significant detail on a costume. Right now I'm thinking cas has the right idea.

And about the beam, in the opening scene for AC, Altair uses the crossbow. But that wasn't in the actual game. I'm just hoping that Ezio's drop isn't going to be like that. I remember an interview where they said there were several additions to the free running. I'm hoping that this is going to be one of them.

If I find the specific interview where they say this then I will edit to source it.

Oops. my bad! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
Yeah my monitor is old so the box I see is pitch black color except for the assassin's creed logo.

But seriously, if we could do that in-game, I will love Ubi never-endlessly. Just do that while the target is running. Just jump down in front of him, and just be like:

"You were so close. But you failed. You failed to escape, you failed at saving your own life. I just came out of nowhere and BANG. Requiescat in pace."

i noticed this too. im pretty sure this is the hand drawn picture by an artist working for GameInformer

the reason i say this is because that is the same version of Ezio that is on the cover of GameInformer and all of GameInformers covers are hand drawn. truthfully i like this version a lot better. the stripes and surfer necklaces r kinda dumb in my opinion.

If we could actually say stuff like that, I would love Ubi forever.

Yeah, and it would be a lot easier then having to judge the distance and timing for a long jump to do a stunt kill like that.

I didn't really mind the difference in the costumes. They did the same for AC1; the artwork of Altair had 4 throwing knives on his belt and (in the CGI intro) had his short blade tucked in his belt diagonally, in the actual game however it looked different. Did anybody seem to care much?

I prefer Ezio's white-shouldered outfit though.

Badass assassin outfit is still badass! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

And... "Requiescat in pace"? Ask in peace? It's "requiesca ti pace".

Yep, this costume definantely looks better than what Ubi is going with. But I guess it won't matter once we get the black clothing.
