View Full Version : Strange graphics anomaly on damaged B17 - is it my drivers?

G'day all - was playing a track from a mission with B17s attacking a Japanese convoy in the Bismark Sea - when i zoomed in on a damaged B17 I got this weird black waistcoat effect:

Anyone else seen this? A bug, or likely to be my drivers?

Radeon 9800 Pro running Catalyst 3.9 I believe (not 100% sure since I'm not at home).

Probably where the damage model isn't finalized yet for the bomber. I remember when the first Spitfire was available. Whenever it took shots to the fusalage(sp?) there would be small square boxes where the damage graphic should be. It will probably be OK after the patch. My guess anyway.

IIRC its been reported as a bug.... check out the thread in ORR.

I've got it too...seems to be something wrong with the damage textures.

Its fine normally...its just went it changes to a damaged state in that area that it does that.

Damage to elevators is also bugged (they flip around at an angle, but don't detach), at least on B-17D.

Oleg if u read that:

in Material setup the material "Gloss1D1o" or "Gloss2D1o" is disabled. if the error also is visible at damage stage 2 the material "Gloss1D2o" or/and "Gloss2D2o" is also disabled.

thats all.

no problems further on any drivers
