It's been a few years since I've been on the flight deck. I was looking at the new screen shots on the update and thinking back to what I enjoyed. Sure, it was usually a metric a$$-ton of work. But when there were no flight ops going on, I liked to hang out on the catwalk and stare at the ocean going by with the ocean wind hitting me.

I think when I get PF I'm going to have to get a sea spray smelling candle (if they make such a thing) and a fan!

LOL!!!

pretty funny, thanks.

And I thought I was strange when I would put a fan on top of my monitor to fly the I-16.

Cheers,

Just out of curiosity, how much is a metric a$$?

Hey Crash, I got a great one for you. Years ago we took an old Datsun painted up to resemble the XO's car and launced it off the catapult of the old "Connie." Of course we waited until the XO was circling the ship in the COD before we fired it off! His ride was unmistakable as it was painted up like a squadron bird. The XO nearly crapped but the "Old Man" thought it was just about the funniest thing ever to happen on that old ship. LongHorn

A metric assload is equal to about 1.55 imperial assloads :P
