I was watching the Military channel this morning and they did a story on the AVG. it was very interesting. but as I suspected in this game its guns are undermodeled. in this game the P-40 only comes with the 50Cal, in real life they had the 50 MM http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif I heard it on the Military channel so it must be true.

I say we start an online campaign to get the real life 50MM cannon on the P-40.WHO'S WITH ME we'll show those Lufty's who's got the firepower now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Recoil will cost you about 150 kph/seconds...

Don't think the plane in front of you will be the only one falling out of the sky. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

[raaaidmode on]then if we for example put six fifty milimeters guns firing back to the rear then we could maybe have a good propulsion device because we could have 150kph/seconds thrust extra if we have them firing back and no one would be behind us that would be a good idea because of course nobody would be on your six and you had still a good propulsion method that can thrust you in a ver effective way i am going to patent it right now and i want it to put in a tesis and i am going to win a nobel prize because this is a very new idea i have sometimes when i am dreaming and i think of the girls but i dont think about them any more because i am going to be rich when i patent this good idea i had about firing back fifty milimeters guns[/raaaidmode off]

That's nothing. A few days ago I heard on a history show that a fighter (forgot what type, mid-war US plane) had a top speed of 370km/h.

After that, I was expecting to hear about M2s and roads and Tiger tanks http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Roflwaffles @ Dux. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif (No offense, raaid)

Quite frankly, I'm happy with the .50 Cals we have right now. I only want that they should give it tracers, or different sounds, or SOMETHING to make it not sound like a puny peashooter.

I watched the same show, and they said the P-40s had 4x.30cals and 2x.50cals. Nothing about 50MM.

Here is what I recommend next time you watch tv:

heh as I can see the WHOLE point of this thread went SOOOO far over your head that you couldnt have possibly gotten it even if I did explain it to you. so you must have been watching the version that wasn't in English. I'd say either get a version with English subtitles or what ever your native language is or stop watching the cartoon network. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

I find it odd that you are insulted by my addition of my personal humor to your own humoristic topic.

Perhaps I should stop trying to be funny. Then maybe the world would a much better place http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I also heard on the history channel the other day from a p47 pilot interview that they used to shoot their 50 cal's underneath the tanks to try and shoot the crew as tey hid under the tank and they claim to have taken out tanks by bouncing their 50 cals up through the bottom of the tiger tanks.

I heard it on the history channel so it must be true

No, actually they shot them in a small ventilation shaft, but to do that they had to approach the target at high angle and speed (at which they might not be able to pull out in time) without the use of their targetting computers.

The Military Channel is producing an exclusive, world premier show on the extensive use of sliders and trimming controls in air combat.

Yeah I can just see it now. People stating that after a 1 sec burst of 6 50 MM the wings rip off and are undermodeled. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I wouldn't be surprised if the History Channel said 50mm cannon on the P-40: I've heard dozens of whacky stuff from people who cited the History Channel.

One, though I suppose this is debatable, is that the Germans had no method of using atomic weapons had the developed them. Well, I could be wrong, but didn't they modify a bunch of V-2s and an Me-290 flew to the US coast and back, and it had a bombload of 3,000KG, I believe that's sufficient to carry a small nuclear weapon (Fat Man was 4400, Little Boy 4000, maybe a smaller) the B-29 as far as I can ascertain could carry 2,000KG unmodified, but 4,400 in "Silverplate" for the nuclear raids.

There was worse, but I can't remember them all.

I belive that you mean that a Ju-390 allegedly made a flight near to the US coast, not a "Me-290". There is some dispute about whether such a flight actually ever took place but I believe it certainly was possible. The aircraft which was actually intended to carry an atomic weapon was the Me-264.
