Yep that's right, no doubt revenge for years of British rule, TaTa Motors of India, makers of the ahem, world class automobile the "Nano" for a whopping $2,500.00......Now owns Jaguar and Range Rover outright!

Well I'm glad, about time those vehicles gained the quality and recognition they have so long sought.........So get your own TaTa's if you want some....Just leave my Ta Ta's alone.

Any discussion?

my old college lecturer saw this coming.

One day, the Indians will stop providing us with the call centres, and start providing us with the loans

I see I'm not the only one who saw the irony, but then again Ford bought them first, but that was a joke on Ford really not so much irony. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

So I as a non surgically enhanced heterosexual man can theoretically say that I have a bodacious set of TaTas (if I had the money for a Land Rover and a Jag anyway) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Actually, Ford bought them as part of that rediculous surge of U.S. automakers to buy up foreign "exotics".....Sadly their logic to simply sell more parts foolish as in short order Jag's became Fords. Smacks all too much of all the BS with DaimlerBenz buying Chrysler, as Chrysler really leading the U.S. market soon after started producing junk.

.......and in the end that most likely half the point....TaTa no doubt simply wanting to "expand" their name and market.

No-one in North America should be acting too smug or laughing too loudly.

Ask not for whom the takeover tolls, it tolls for thee.

I knew as soon as I saw the title it would be a tease, I just thought there'd atleast be a pic of two TA-152s. That's what I thought was meant when they said "pair of Ta Ta's"

I'm so dissapointed, didn't get to see visual stimulus of any kind, aircraft or TaTa variety!

lmao...remember the old Yugo's in the early 80's? I had a buddy get one for under $2500. One day while driving home on I-20 between Dallas and Fort Worth, he looked down to do something for a split second and ran off the shoulder for maybe 2 seconds...repairs cost him over $800!!

There's nothing like the quality workmanship and durability you get in a $2500 car I tell ya.

No more Fordaguar? To bad a Bitish owned company couldn't regain Jaguar.
