17" fits nicely in gap between two fixed cd tower type shelves on my pc desk....19" would fit too but concerned that 22" widescreen would be too big on my desk and hard to spot distant dots...
The pixels or 'dots' on the standard 19" would be bigger and thus easier to spot but with a less crisp image right|?

I dunno man..... I just got this:Acer 24" widescreen (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0263478) and it looks PDG to me. No dot problems. I don't know what the shipping issues would be for you, but I can say the monitor is fantastic.
