Hello Everyone,
I went on a tour in San Francisco that had this Baleo Class on exhibit. I had some pictures so I figured I would share them with you all.

I think those are yards. (0.91 meters in a yard)

That sub is supposed to operate at 450 feet.

It could even be the shallow dive meter, did US subs have a shallow dive meter?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well the last one is the only one I knew. It is the max operational depth. (450') According to the website, it had a crush depth of 600' or 200 yards. That is much deeper then I thought they could go. I had thought crush depth for the Balao was 400'.

A quick check on Wikipedia revials that 400' was the Test Depth, 450' was the Max Operating Depth. (AKA never exceed depth) The crush depth was 600'.

182 meters = 200 yards.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well this post looks to be about 231.5 meters long. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

OK bad joke. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

3' = 1 yard = 0.91 meters. (Um 0,91 meters Euro talk I think???)

The ' mark means feet. A double " mark means inches.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
