I need to learn some evasive maneuevers, is there a webpage that shows them in picture and how to exucute them?

Remember that combat is just flying on the edge. So if you master the flying thats half the battle.

I plan on reading that link when im done with the other one, but in the defensive section of that one link it gave me a .trk to refer to in IL-2 , i put it in the records folder but when in game i tryed to open it but it says its not supported. I noticed all the other tracks in the records folder where .ntrk and not .trk so is a way i could play it?

ntrk's are universal over the life of the game whereas trk's are version specific. Odds are you downloaded a trk for an older version of the game.

The good old "Split S" will get you out of trouble when you're being B&Z... this is why you always need to keep enough altitude to pull it of...

Split S : Roll to the left (or right) and dive down...

To make it harder for them to hit you always dive in a arcing "oblique" manner (not straight down as this will make a leading shoot very easy)...

Also as more pilot are right handed we (I'm one) have a natural tendendy to break left... because will pull the stick inside which is easier and more natural.... so remenber this and try to condition yourself to break right...

OT - when being fired upon... take a second to whatch were the tracer are passing bye... our brain and eyes make it so that we naturally head in the direction we are looking at... so most pilot will see tracers above their cockpit and pull up... take a sec... tracer above... means dive http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I think the AI knows your defensive manuevers and you have to fake em out and make some up on your own as you fly. Putting the flaps at 15-20% and turning works; but when its crowded, I noticed the planes move in a pattern were they are constatnly covering each others 6's.

Read in Aeroplane Monthly about Hineri-Komi(twisting in)
used by Japanese pilots.

The move consisted of pulling back hard on the stick into a tight loop,then sideslipping with full right rudder just before the loop´s apex,going over the top with a swith to full left rudder with the control column to the right and pulling back on the stick to end slightly right of the starting point.

This would further reduce the Zeros´s already tight turning radius.
