I know what the answers will be.

Maybe!

Well see.

If there is time.

Is planninged (sic)to be that way.

Is my hope.

We already have that. (Though in fact it is barely implemented and/or poorly done.)

And other vague replies that fail to address the questions with any detail or specificity etc etc etc .

Italics mine.

It is of course subjective. But I think I got 5 out of 6. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Waahaay! They've already made the 3D model of the windsock! That was one of my first priorities in SOW:BOB. One item crossed off the list.
I like what Oleg and Co are doing, they seem very genuine and do goodwork. I do find it worrying that so little seems done after such a long development period. Good luck to them, I say.

So we get a Tigermoth! W00t!!!

I hope BoB includes reasonable transonic effects...

Most of all though, I hope it is actually released before Duke Nukem Forever. Which hasn't been cancelled BTW.

I do remember people asking for windsocks and waveable flags since the original IL2. Guess we should be careful what we ask for. Still, it does seem like a very minor detail to use in a progress report.

Clues get more valid that CFS3 is coming. I can understand why Oleg doesn't want to show all his cards before the bets are set.

I was wondering if the "RRG's" "Project Galba" had anything to do with the new "SoW" game engine, and if it was a "Korean War" fighter sim...

Oleg:

"Korean sim based on BoB engine

Well that confirms it! Cats out of the damn bag at last! whoooo hooo! boys lace up yer boots, polish all yer brass, Hide the ladies and the liqure... We're going to Korea!

the bad new/good news is my regimentals file that Dizz & i did for PF will never see the light of day....for this sim anyway. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

We do not have any plans to support IL-2 anymore. We are 500% busy with BoB and following after that series. 4.09m will be the last. The protection from cheaters will make other group of enthusiasts that are in contact with me (is being made by a group of enthusiasts who are in contact with me). We will be able only to answer their questions, but will do nothing ourselves in code. Simply, because no time. 4.09 is some user's made add-on( 4.09 is a user made add-on). Our work is only to check and compile.

just a few clarifications in case you read his english wrong http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

nope. i speak Oleg-Speak pretty well by now. I understood him well 3 years ago when he accepted our regimentals add on for PF. and he resonse was somewhere along the lines of good work, we will is if there is time.

hmmmmm how many patches since PF now? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
lot of hours of work went into that project. and getting professional graffic artists to donate thier valuable time and reasources for the project.....and then have it just fade away while every gdamned paper napik Luftwaffle deam machine ever conceived some how finds it's way into the sim.......i just don't get it. The work was top quality on both our parts.

Well its not just you Copperhead.Think of the CW21,the Fokker, the various models of JU88 etc etc.Lots of people put their time into this for no result in the end.its a shame, but it is what it is.I am really looking forward to SoW, but if there was no SoW,this series could have gone on for a few more years at least.

Well, Copperhead, I've stopped counting how often I was told "Sorry no time". Ah well ... the King's dead. Long live the (new) King! *shrugs*

I'm not trying to sneak in forbidden subjects here but at another website we are finding a lot of things we were told were "impossible" or too time consuming to not be either of those things.
