I just purchased this video and a couple others in the warbird series, I really liked it.

Good find!

I doubt that anyone would dispute that the P-51 was remarkable for the time, advanced even!

That last paragraph... how is the P-47 less of an air to air fighter just because the Germans started coming up within range of it?
Does that somehow make the German fighters less good? Sure the Germans would not have changed strategy if there had been no long
range escort but once they are fighting air to air then there they all are, how they fight is how they fight -there-. Was the
Spitfire less of an air to air fighter too? Does range make the air to air capability of a fighter? Because if that is the case
then what German or even Russian plane was so good either? The P-40, the Hurricane, the Typhoon and Tempest, all over-rated?
I'm sure that Zemke's Wolves would have a different opinion.
