I haven't bought PF yet, but I am tempted to pick it up since version 4.0 sounds like it will be a winner with the new FM. However, I have heard that GMX WoV is due out in the next two months, and it sounds promising for offline play, esp with the 6DOF trackIR. Does anyone have any info (other than what is on their website) on how WoV will compare to PF 4.0 in these areas:
1)AI
2)FM
3)DM
4)framerate on midrange computer
5)mission generator
Has GMX ever done a beta demo of this SW? The cynical side of me says it is vaporware but they did produce Firepower...

Official BoB2 webboard...

They are re~designing this sim with 3rd Party modders in mind, but most interesting is they are planning to have some process of Stamp of Approval for 3rd Party addon planes...all 3rd Parties can mod for BoB2, but the SoA may help filter out the less desirable 3rd Party addons to aid the downloader and to keep him/her from looking all over the internet. This could be a good compromise between the hardcore Maddox Method (MM) and the softcore Microsoft Method (MM).

I suggest you get *both* PF and BoB2. If you don't have original FB/AEP (or "FB Gold") that PF can add onto, get it you get ALL planes since FB came out...(and you can use the IL~2T as Flyable carrier based torpedo bomber for Pacific since we don't have any yet).

FB plus AEP (Aces Expansion Pac) together make FB/AEP. The PF adds onto them if you wish to combine them all.

FB Gold in United States is FB+AEP in one box--now cheaper than a box of PF.

I call it BoB2, because Strike Fighters has a Wings over Vietnam development called...WoV (no Flyable MiGs http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif )
