i was just reading Divine-Wind's Topic of his first kill! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif and something i have always wanted to know is how many kills my old joystick got me on and off line before it took a dirt nap. maybe 5000 maybe 1000 would'nt it be nice to know. it did last 2 years and fought in VOW + BW + CW + 100's of dogfight severs... so come to think of it.... it was not me a vet of IL2 but the Joystick!!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

BTW.. good job Divine-Wind keep them comeing http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Thank ye kindly. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Let's see... I had a M$ Sidewinder Force Feedback 2, which lasted from the first day I played CFS2/FS2000, up until it broke sometime around 2002/3 when water got spilled on it. Since then, at least until I got the X52, a Precision 2 has served me well. All in all, the FFB2 helped me mass probably up to 1,000 kills (all offline, mostly in the CFS series), and the Precision 2 has garnered upwards of 500, in CFS2 (again) and up to FB/PF. And the Saitek has already gotten around 10 kills (mostly offline, of course).

My Flightstick Pro has been in steady use for over 4 years. I'd say I've averaged 10 hrs a week (sometimes MUCH more...sometimes less). I'm getting ready to retire it tonight btw. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

If I use simple math and extrapolate (Avg 4 kills/hr) I have gotten over 8000 kills with it...and probably died over 2000 times to boot. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

I wish I had a pc that would be able to last as long and stay as functional as my CH joysticks. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I am using my MSFFB2 that I originally got as a spare but started to use in early 03 when FB cameout. I took my original FFB2 that still works and gave it to my then 6 yearold son after putting IL2 on his computer. I bought another spare in 05 before they went off the market and it remains on a shelf with my spare X-45 unopened. Both of the other sticks still work flawlessly.
