I am becomming very interested in building a mini cockpit to fly adding swithces levers etc to control the game. I have found a way to hack the keyboard so I can get started.
Does any one know if the outputs from the game can be captured so that when a fuel light goes on for example you can route it to a lamp on the DIY cockpit. Unless there is an output log of somesort or a piece of software that can interface with the game I suppose its not possible

The EPIC system may do it but I can't work out how that may work.

Any ideas are welcome.

My dream resonse would be Yep been done go to this web site

Output can be captured using "devicelink" BUT NOT ONLINE http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
Input can be sent to game using the same device.
There's a read-me in the main game dir.
You will need to program though...

Check Airwarfare (http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/fb_essential_files.htm#018) look for UDPGraph etc...

Then we can convince Oleg to give it the go for online play...
I don't see how anyone can call this "cheating" the word is used too much allready http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Just Imagine - would you be afraid of an AI controlled plane in online dogfight? roflmao

Maybe we'd get good AI planes out of it even!

Go for it Oleg ! Online UDP/Devicelink! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It's very slow though!

SotS (Sailers of the Sky) a soarplane sim, has a simular approach - that was speeded up by the creator of it just because people wanted it - now they can fly with cockpits (yup WORKING ones) with feedback (yup 3D platform WOULD work) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Now THAT'S what I would want.
