View Full Version : D2D Vs Steam Builds

This is namely a mod/dev question.

PC games are synonymous with having different builds of the game, most notably the builds are different in retail versions of PC games vs digital copies. Some games have different builds for each digital retailer, most notably the different builds sometimes present in Steam versions vs Direct2Drive versions.

My question is this:
Is the build between the D2D and Steam copies any different?

I ask this because I already own ACB on the PS3, but there is a deal going on D2D right now that is tempting me to buy it on PC as well so I can play on my laptop while at my college campus. D2D versions of games have had issues in the past, such as with Fallout 3. I am wondering if the builds are the same given Ubisoft's DRM, or if they are different.
