Here's a sneak preview by Andy MacGeelis:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_nPxUWdHn0

It says here it features:

Realistic 3D terrain area stretching from the UK to Germany.

Many action-packed missions.

Stunning 3D objects.

20 flyable combat aircraft and helicopters

Audio environment that includes communication with wingmen, AWACS, tankers, and air traffic control.

Hundreds of tanks and other vehicles.

18 airfields

500 bridges

1,700 towns and villages

21 cities

180,000 buildings

1,000,000 trees

It also mentions a Dynamic Campaign in the end credits, which sounds great. Although some of the vehicles look as though they have been copied from Lock On.

I've also posted the video on the front page of my site at

http://www.dpsflight.com/

for those who really want to watch it in glorious Windows Media Player. Look out for the link called Flaming Hell at the bottom of the page.

If it looks copied from Lock-On, that's because it is Lock-On. Probably many other sims as well. This is a joke, if you sincerely haven't caught it yet.

If not the stolen video, the goofy names at the end give it away. The high ratio of sheep to trees is suspicious as well.

LMAO

Flaming Hell.. this has to be in reference to the Russian's amusing English translations.

ie. Hot Rocks.

Apart from the sheep...the release date of April 1st is also a bit of a giveaway...

The A-7 is by DBS - got it as freeware from IrisSimulation. Quite a nice model. However, in the film the shot through the HUD is Lock On and the jet sound effects came from SoundDogs.com

Appears to be a spinoff between ww2ols large theatre, Janes F18 weapons and aircraft, and LOMACs terrain.

Check out the release date: 1st of April "April fools days" as in today.

In the UK we have an expression "Wind-up" as in "to wind up a watch" meaning joke or prank, to con'.

This is a well put together "Wind-up" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

A good jab at actual flight sim marketing would be to use the word "over" to qualify an otherwise easily countable number of, well, anything ...

Here's an example from the blurb from Wings Over Vietnam: "Over 12 authentically accurate aircraft with historical load-outs and munitions used in the Vietnam War." So, ummm, is that 13 aircraft then?

And then there is the other side of this same coin ...
Features of Ace Expansion Pack include "New Flyable aircraft - At least 11 flyable aircraft including Ju-87D-3, Hurricane MK I & II and BF-109G-14." I guess they got tired of counting.

I stand corrected. Well done Major Setback.

Yup, it's all my work. thought you would have recognised my smooth editing skills http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Some of my buddies have actually fallen for this caper. One believes that I got a big fat payment from 'Andy MacGeelis' for doing this job.

Quite a big response on the lockon.ru forum, but as my Russian isn't too hot I don't know what the chaps at 'Eagle Dynamics' are saying.
