This is OUTSTANDING! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I enjoy to watch many videos, and some are really stunning, but this one is PERFECT! Technically (but not only), it is the best achievement in all the game movies I have ever watched, by far. Everything runs so SMOOTH, and the use of the camera (so to say) is so PROFESSIONAL, and so it is the synchro with the excellent music chosen!
There is no one single detail that is not just spot on. No hic-ups of any sort. UNBELIEVABLE.

This is just a WAAAUUUWWWW-experience! Totally cinematic, Zeros dispatching Wildcats and Dauntlesses. Incredible quality and some hitherto unseen movie-making tricks that just blow my mind. Really shows off the peerless graphics and dynamic modelling of PF in an amazing way.

Three cheers for Red Clones Video and RC_Kedik!!

Spectacular. The action and filming were so great I was able to temporarily suspend the horror I felt at the mutilation and disfigurement of a Perfectly Good Led Zeppelin Song. J/K.

This might be the best one I've seen. Awesome.

I'm guesing that the making of the video involves playback at slow speed, and then speed-up in the movie making phase... - so, the stutters won't be there...

Without a doubt the best video I've seen, but I do not like modern day music with these type of videos. Rather something from the period or classical would better fitting, imho. It reminds me of every skateboard, snowboard, skydive or whatever video you see it always has some grunge/punk/heavymetal soundtrack to it.

I also realize how good this game CAN look if you have the right computer, those islands/water/details look nothing like that on my crappy P4 1.7, radeon 9200se.

I don't feel the music is inadequate at all. Why should modern music only be used on modern era type projects?

The music, although perhaps an odd choice, was original, and believe it or not, the music matched perfectly to the pacing of the movie, and the action, and without it, would have probably been not quite so good.

I understand it's a personal choice, but a little open mindedness can't hurt.

I love and respect the Led Zeppelin, but the music here matches the sequences so much that I'm not sure whether it's built around the video or the other way around.

Excellent work and looks great how you timesped up the video from location to location.

however the song completely sucks **** and is an insult to ledzeplins master piece.

What video capture program and video editing software did you use to get such smooth video captures.

A commercial of this video, different song or maybe the rap for the kiddies would have increased pf sales 4x at least. They should show this along with brother in arms every 5 minutes on tv here in the states.

add silent hunter to the mix as well, showing just brother in arms every 10 minutes is a waste of advertising.

This by far is the best video making skills I have ever seen yet and the quality of the video is amazing.

Bellum is now in 2nd place as the best video of all time in my book, 3rd goes to CHN DOF squad.

Simply outstanding!!!

I too cringed at the massacre of a Led Zep classic, yet as it went on, it grew on me more and more....the way the differant shots are timed to the drums, the lyrics couldn't be more fitting if you wrote them particularly for the video.

Awesome, really jaw dropping stuff.

Thanks but I downloaded a Divx palyer and finally got to see it. Nice video but I have two words to say to whoever flew the Zeros, and those two words are: "Unlimited Ammo"!!! His Cannons, had he used limited ammo would have been dry of ammo by his second or third Wildcat!!!! Lets see him do that well with the tiny Mgs on a zero. Still, even though he cheated by not flying full switch, it was a well done video by any standards.

Wow!!! I've seen pretty much ALL the movies and this one is absolutely Top-Notch!!! [I can say that even though I personally dislike 90% of Rap and Hip-Hop music http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif]

I have NO idea how some of the cinematography was accomplished! Fantastic techniques! The part where one seems to be floating around like a falling leaf or maybe a helicopter while viewing the islands was quite amazing!

The opening sequence with the Zero and cockpit "entry" was particularly original and creative!

If the movie contest gets going, which I expect it will in the very near future, this one Surely will be a competitive entry for an "Oleg"
http://members.cox.net/fliegeroffizier/TheOleg.jpg

I'll try to have it showcased on my Site(see SigBlock below) by tomorrow...unlimited bandwidth will allow "Everyone" to view/download it! Unfortunately the Site may have to be shut down next week, but I can't miss giving this GREAT movie its moment in the spotlight even if it is only for one week!

Oleg and UBI have been offered the talents of the great IL2/FB/PF movie-makers MANY times!!! To the best of my knowledge, they have NEVER responded with even the simplest EMail acknowledging the offers....... offers to produce such trailers, For FREE!!!!

Instead, the UBI PF marketing "team" produced their own little trailer-movies and put them up on their Site...and, while this statement will verey possibly get me banned, those UBI movies S*&ked! They were amateurish...jerky pans using mouse, boring fly-by's, mis-matched musical scores, etc, you name it....Seems that if it wasn't invented in UBI headquarters they don't use it....cutting off their own noses to spite their faces... These community-created movies could DOUBLE their sales...

It's crazy!!

Simply superlative!

This is the best of the "Music Video" stlye Il2 films I have seen. Excellent work and massive respect to RC_Kedic. Simply fantastic stuff. This is the best showcase for the raw abilities of the game I have seen.

However (and with me there is ALWAYS a however http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif) for my money the best IL2 movies are those with a plot. Far and away the best two that I have seen (in my limited experiance) are ST_Pawnee's "Bellum", which traces two P-38 pilots in the pacific (and was made with AEP http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif) and "I Promise" by MrVH, which shows ones pilots lead up to D-Day.

Both these exceed 10 minutes, have amazing sound tracks, editing and even special effects! "Bellum" in particular blew my socks off, it was only the second ever IL2 movie i downloaded and I hit the jackpot with it. They are like watching your favourite action movies without the unnecessary plot fluff.

Other amazing vidoes include "Into the Maelstrom" Benjamin Pond, "Requium" by 1/JG54_SerpentBlade and I/JG54_XPC and "Four Horsemen" by someone who I can find the credits for at the moment.

There are also some very, very cool looking movies in the works. There are a few great trailers out (The Few by NTELSA, as well as others by JavDog, Monty-Dan and a couple of talented others)

Just wanted to give a big shout out and "thanks" to all you IL2 movie makers. I am in awe of your creative skills, patience and dedication. Well done to all of you!

The three movies that you mentiones above ImpStarDuece, are among the very best indeed, for either emotional grip (Requiem), visual art (Four Horsemen), or for the overall story and technique (Bellum). There are several more of good or great quality around.

I want to point out though, that Come With Me is far from being just a plotless slam. On the contrary, the short "mystic" story told about this suicidal Japanese couple, that the music and the lyrics underline so well is very deep and involving. Gives me shivers.

Actually, many soldiers now a days are making vidio's and dubbing in modern music of their training......Much of it so good, and appealing to youth they're used for recruiting films.

Youth + Action + Music they relate to = Enlistment

I'm 40 however, this kind of music is not my thing.....

I LOVED IT, IT WAS PERFECT

So why the lead in above?....Ever see reviews of IL2 on TechTV and the like...."Boring, imposible to learn, not exciting enough, etc."

It is exactly this and other projects I have seen that need to be sent into TechTV, History Channel for advertising, MTV for home made video's and so on that inspires new players to come and try it.

Not only is UbiSoft missing out on some outstanding marketing to sell the product, I believe we are missing out on expanding the community.....and ask anyone from RedBaron 3d about diminishing communities if you don't understand the value of promoting what you want to keep doing.

Personal opinion, this and many others need to have ALL the credits added (Author, music, editing software, etc.)........and then need to be brought to the attention of the media.

TechTV an excellent start with many show formats that would show this.

and luckily only TWO zeroes were hurt in the making of this film.

of course 198 allied planes bit the dust but thats about right..........eh?

im just sayin........

oh and the music? i hated it and i loved it. which makes it way cool. i love led zep so any spin off of led is good stuff. if done well. i love soundgarden and red hot chili peppers too. im 39 and am not upset by this song.

you can still keep your vinyl copy of led and spin it on yer record player but for cryin out loud that song is LITERALLY about 35 years old no?

Not to sound redundant, but this movie was awesome. I'm not even sure how this guy got some of the shots he did??

Add on top of that the fact that the quality of the graphics was maintained, and still managed to keep the video screen size a good size!

Superb storyline, and great mix of sound and video. I never really cared for P-Diddy's use of the Led Zepplin sample, but the movie just changed my mind and put a whole new perspective on it!

The movie is powerful and NOT TO LESSEN earlier efforts, because they are all part of the progress which brought this movie to the level it represents, but this one blows everything else out of the water (so to speak http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ).

First, I thought it was air combat, but since there's rap "music" in the background, I guess it's fly-by-shooting. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Anyway, it's a great looking vid (with the sound disabled).

That Bellum movie is great as well, also very well done.

I realize, at the end it notes that the sounds are not from the game, but are they from a sound pack. Because if so, wow, I want that pack!

I know some cheat codes that solves this problem.
Just put two following lines in your config file:
[Brain]
Imagination=1 ( or even 2 or 3 ... )

Works with any hardware! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Gr7_Bizu-RO, the dumbest thing is to judge somebody by when he/she did register on a forum.
As you may notice, I also registered here not too long ago. So what?
Kedik is Russian and he usually can be found at Russian forums (and his squad members - at Russain servers). He never cared to come to this forum, until I posted the link with his video here. Then, people wanted to ask him a questions and he came and registered. I guess, he can go for good, if you insist, but what good it will do then?

That's so funny!

He's been pointed here (and to several other message boards over the Net) after somebody reported the movie was being successful in the West. Otherwise, you'd find him over the Russian AviaForum ( www.sukhoi.ru/forum/ (http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/) ). http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

RC_kedik, don't be discouraged to post here just because some people think you're not the real RC_kedik.

That vid was OUTSTANDING http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif!

Many have mentioned your choice of soundtrack didn't fit, and at first I felt the same, BUT after watching a 2nd time the lyrics are actually very appropriate.

As for the editing what software did you use? Premiere, vegas video, quicktime?
