Hi guys;
Got an email from one of your members so thought we should let you know the status of this book. We are working on it, all the profiles are done by Claes Sundin and the layout is about 1/3 complete. I have promised the authors that we would have it published no later that February 2006 but we are really shooting for December 2005. Watch our site for announcements.
Also, if you are interested in seeing us possibly re-publish an updated version of Vol. 1, let us know with an email. Our site is http://www.eagle-editions.com and click on our email address for a 'vote'.
Thanks for letting us post here....
Have fun!

Have sent email to say would buy volume one if reprinted.Hate to think what it would do to value of those rare current vol ones though!!!!(they go for serious three figure money!)

Well mate if you ask me nothing.

They will still had their Colector's Value.

IMHO no one here is interested in that, we are only interested to obtain it because it is very interesting matter for us.

And besides, reprint will possibly be more complete book, since AFAIK they put new things in it. It wont be the same book as first edition, and thus no fear for value of the first edition.

As far as I am concerned, if someone is collector, he should go for -three digit value- 1st ed., the rest on reprint edition (two digit http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif).

Yeah well worth the bump...I believe this is THE book about the air war on the eastern front.However there are bargains out there if you look .In the last fortnight I have got a Squadron Signal profile dedicated entirely to the IL2 and an old 'Aeroplane' magazine with a 20+? page feature on the IL2 series including cutaway diagram(The gunners canvas 'strap' seat looks v uncomfortable -imagine a VERY small hammock!Also shows AS-82 (and 132?) anti concrete missiles).Both of these were got cheap on Ebay.Search for "Shturmovik" and "Stormovik" as well as our(!) spelling of it.Apparently the correct version is "shtoormovik" believe it or not although Im open to correction...

Thanks for info. I am more interested in Lavochkin fighters, and I have found few good books about it - "Lavochkin's Piston-Engined Fighters", "Stalin's Eagles" and two volumes from Osprey (third is about Yak fighters).
If you know some other good book about exploit of LaGG and LA series, please post.

Hmmm. I thought the reprinted volume one was a done deal. How wrong I was.
