Very nice mate (if I could see them), any chance of reducing the size so they show on a any monitor smaller than a 50" monster????

they are linked from the site I found them so,I don't have any control over size unless I re-host them...just save them to your HD and open them, they are worth it!

May I suggest posting links instead? That way any 56k users can look at them on their own time. They are very cool pics, and I know I'd rather not wait forever to see them.

Wow, cool pictures for sure!

The picture of the gunsight strafing the train, is that a real combat picture? Or from a movie? If it is a real combat picture, how did they take it? Either way, it is now my desktop background

It almost looks like it's from a movie; What pilot would fly that low while strafing a train? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Especially one that looks like it might possibly be carrying gas or some other flammable liquid?

The movie is called "Dark Blue World", some of the pictures seems to be from that movie.

I'm guessing the top 4-5 are from that movie? That would explain why they look like that.

Some are from DBW and some are obviously historical and yes Dark Blue World is very worth watching http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Get the DVD at Amazon http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It is actually called Tmavomodrý Svet so if you cannot find it as "Dark Blue World" search under that.

It is definitely one of the better Battle of Britain movies. In most DVD versions the scenes set in Czechoslavakia are subtitled but the main movie is in English.

It does have two guys and the one girl .. but that is traditional for aviation movies. You get that.

Aside from the one damaged American bomber scene which looks CGI to me, most of the footage appears to be real aircraft. Some of it was left over footage not used in the original battle of Britain 1969 movie and some was newly shot. The train scene was shot specifically for the movie with actual restored Spitfires and apparently cost several million dollars to shoot.

If you want to get really picky you can spot the occasional Buchon 109 or merlin powered Heinkel and later mk spitfire's sneak in occasionally in the background ... but all in all they did a pretty godd job.

YES! Dark Blue World is a very good (Czech) film and not just for the aircraft bits! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

"Hitler, has only got one ball,
Goering, has two but very small,
Himmler, has something similar,
And Goebbels, he has no balls at all!" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Looked up DBW on Wikipedia, and apparently the train scene is the most expensive scene in Czech cinema.
