Enjoying my 1st patrol in GWX 2.0 and just caught a large merchant in calm seas on a clear day. It was doing 8kts but I got into position and fired 1st at the stern quarter under the keel with the magnetic detonator, bullseye, then when this did not seem to have slowed it down any after about 6mins I gave it a second under the keel which struck dead centre, after 20 mins the ship was still running at the same draft and at 6kts and this looked only due to the zig zag manouevres so I surfaced and only after approx 25 shots at the waterline did it go down.

Is this right?

i add 1 meter to get a full hit in the middle of the keel http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
got a lot of ships this way with only 1 torpedo

does the 1 metre make a lot of difference to the damage sustained?

i have no idea, but it reduces the chance of duds http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

One meter under the keel will do it most often. If the shot is about 1/4 or so back from the bow
if not closer to the bow they go down for sure.
