Dear Oleg and developers!
Can we have more types of Planes that served in the Western/Russian Front and MTO . PLEASE!I am willing to buy an add on pack for sure! Many important types are missing! Luftwaffe:He 177 'Grief', Dornier Do 217E/K, Junkers JU 188, Arado 234 Jet, Ju 88S bombers, He 219 Uhu, Ju88 R/G fighters, Me410, He111 H20(turret). USAAF: B-24 D Liberator, B-26 Marauder, P38F. RAF:
Beaufort, DB-7 Boston, Whirlwind, Hawker Tyhpoon1B (A Must! With cockpit), Hampden, Wellington, Stirling, Lancaster(Merlin engines), Halifax 2/3 versions, Italian: Savioa SM79, Cant 1007Z Alcione, Fiat G-55, types. Others I suspect will be in the BOB pack; Dornier Do17Z, Dornier 215?, Heinkel He 111P/H, Spitfire MK1A, Hurricane MK1A, etc. How about making a Typhoon, He219, B17F, Whirlwind,G-55, and Me410 flyable? Also how about a night fighter war, some sort of radar detection, stalking would be great! Also German nightfighters need antennas. How about MTO maps Maps of Western Europe and Germany! Any chance soon or later? I know this is alot but hopefully eventually this will happen. Thanks!

Baronbutcher,

while it would be great to get all those planes into the game, it just isn't going to happen in the forseeable future.

1C: Maddox has limited resources, most of which are devoted to developing a new flight sim engine, initially based around the Battle of Britain.

Externally developed models are no longer being accepted for the serise. The cut-off date was March 31st this year.

Oleg posted last month about where the series was headed. Here is the COMPREHENSIVE listing for what is going on with the sim:

Hi folks,

Here is the list of the planes (or only cockpits) that are ready or almost ready for the inclusion in add-ons.
Please be sure: it may happens that not all of them will be released due to lack of time (busy with the next sim). Also pay attention that markered with * are going in the beginning only for Russian market on the separate CD (with the campaigns, new ground objects, maps, etc). Their life on the western market still not defined completely.

No more!http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif Now I am depressed!
Surely in the future like one or even two years!

I am sure flight sim WW2 Fans would agree to more Aircraft types and theatres of operations.
The market sadly lacking in WW2 flight sims now.
I am also sure fans would buy add-ons if done properly. Can't the developers let fans submit plans and request for aircraft from time to time. Thanks anyhow for the info.

Sometime in the next 12 to 18 months 1C plans to bring out a new engine and go around the whole thing again.

So far it seems to be based exclusively around the Battle of Britain. However, at the moment there are two 3rd patry teams working on additional content. One is based around Poland 1939 and the other is based around France 1939.

What this means is really anyones guess. However,if these two projects are sucessful (i.e. meet the standards and deadlines that 1C set) then we may see a sucessful flight sim engine that encompasses everything from the beginning of the European conflict and eventually continues through to the end of the Pacific war.

Everytihng is specualtion at this point, but the stated intention is to get to the Mediterranean after the BoB. After that were are all running off guesswork.

It has been mentioned that the IL2 engine MIGHT be given to a trusted third party after BoB has been released. In the mean time there is still a long list of aircraft waiting to be implemented into the game.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gifYes, I am addicted to WW2 Aircraft. Books, Models, Videos,Flight Sims (decent ones that is most aren't good!) So Pacific IL-2 has so much good about it, and potential to expand! Theres a market for more types of planes, more maps, more targets: especially more variety of ships and classes with the ability to evade torpedos and bombs to a degree! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif Wheres my Toryu, my Grie! The Do 217! Macchi's some one crys: what about G55 or an Spit 14, 21 some one else crys! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif Yes, no one is ever completely happy. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Now the Carl Jung quote: Is he a preacher? Yes, we don't need a so and so to lecture us its not Sunday everyday or Saturday or whatever your day or hour! I just like a good sim to expand for all us fans of WW2 aircraft out there. No matter what nationality or your fanasty. Luftwaffe, RAF, USA, Japan, Russia, France, Italy etc. there all interesting to try and see for beauty sake. Addicted to Love. No lectures please! Music, a drink or two! girlfriend, sport, Movies, etc. This is what we all (or most of us do!) Is this an addiction? Yes and no. Whatever turns you on or not! Just don't harm anyone. Blast them in an simulation. Lecturing is an addiction too. Oh, blah, blah, I just did it! Yes, I raved on. Joy Divison. Life on Mars!
Rave on! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
