I think he's ahead of you...he did mention something about gliders being very accurately modeled in the big FM model that they are putting together.

Stuff like weather patterns and winds and thermals...!

Civil aircraft that were also used by the military would be very nice.

Flyable C-47
Flyable Ju-52
Flyable Bf-108, Polikarpov U-2, basic trainers
etc...

They all claim to be allergic to war simulation and war games.
The cause of this allergic reaction is that 99% of WW2 wartime military aviation (Navigation, Weather, non-combat missions like transport or trainer, etc...) is not covered by "dogfight" sims. If these parts of military wartime aviation were covered, there would be little to no "allergic reaction."

A good example is encountering a line of cumulonimbus clouds in a C-47 over the Pacific. Can you climb above them? If not, do you have the fuel to go around the clouds? If not, can you turn back? If not, do you take your chance inside the storm clouds?

This awesome tropical cloud looks like it's growing from the ocean. Well, it basically is, growing into incredible heights. In the dark portion to the left it's raining, to the right the weather is fair. This shows how quickly weather can change in the tropics.

I also wish that The enemy AI can't see you through Clouds like in BoB II: WoV

Me and my squads of Hurris climbed into and above the clouds when we first got a visual of some planes that looked like Ju88's When we were about 1000ft higher than them i ordered them to attack and 1 after 1 we peeled off for the attack run (just like you see in the "movies")

Man i think i got 2 or 3 Germans in the first pass (accurate gunnery).

and the Gunners aren't that accurate too..

take lessons oleg

Sadly I think I'd find them more interesting to shoot at than fly.

I see early propeller passenger liners using historic realistic navigation etc and online flying as a beginning but you probably get the idea.

Yep. That would be just GREAT.

That would be just GREAT too. I'd _love_ to drive those big birds around doing that!

EDIT / ADDENDUM: and oh yeah, those wee ones mentioned too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah, challenges like that for a change again... that would be just GREAT.

Me too. That would be just GREAT. And being a middle-aged man with a computer I really _do_ appreciate simulator enviroments sans "bang", even if I _do_ love IL-2 dearly as well...

Well, there's always FS2004, but many of those punters don't really have a clue IMO. While many freeware AC are beautiful, their FMs can at the same time be totally laughable & the cockpits often very tatty too. So nope, ain't going back there nossir!

So all in all GREAT ideas there gents! Just keep them coming http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No. Strike all that "GREAT" stuff there in my post. "F**KING GREAT" is more apt http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
