Of all aircraft, atleast the F6F Hellcat should have a raised seat option - will they be putting it in? Plus, are they going to add this option to the other aircraft that don't have it?

RTFM

No, only planes that actually had it.

Well adding it to planes that don't have it in real life would be kinda silly don't ya think?

I'm still waiting for HiGore on all planes. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Yawn, I would say RTFM, but that only came with the retail version of the prodcut. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

They actually eliminated HiGore effects even in the aircraft that had them. I guess it was to keep it in the 12+ age range. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

Hmmmm. Luftkillier, no wonder they can't read the manual. Can't read what they didn't buy I say. When will they ever learn?

I have heard thru the grapevine that all with pirated downloads will be found out and dealt with once they try to fly online. Ya can't hide your IP address you know and there are ways UBI can and will track you down. That is a fact. So I suggest all the pirates go out and buy legitement copies of PF.... FAST.

From the readme file:
"Change seat position: this key toggles the pilot’s seat height between two presets: high and low. This feature is intended for use during take-offs and landing to help look over the aircraft’s nose. High position should not be used in combat as it prevents you from using your gunsight. You must open your canopy first before raising your seat.
This function ONLY works on the A6M Zero, F4U Corsairs and F4F/FM Wildcat series of planes. All other planes did not have seat systems that could be controlled by pilot in-flight."

You are not fair to the poster! There is nothing that indicates that he (or she!) have an pirated copy of the game. The question is fair and more airplanes than the Zero, Corsair and F4F did have this option. I would like to see this option in the He111, as it even had this hatch and wind deflector above the pilots head. Hopefully BoB will bring some sort of head movements within the cocpit.

Bit quick to the guns. You may buy the game, just not RTM. Given the dogs breakfast the (European at least) manual is...missing and duplicated sections etc...I am not surprised people did not read it. I really like a hard copy manual, but only if the publishers/printers can be bothered to print it properly.

thanks for the replies. for the record, I have ALL legitimate copies of IL2 and addons, including PF. I've still got my receipt for $79.95 from Harvey Normans in Queen Street mall, Brisbane if you want it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Now tell me, how many people actually take time to read the manual?

After the 3rd instance of having a missing freakin' picture, not to mention every page having "Chapter Title" up the top of it, ALONG WITH the quickstart guide having the 'ow' of arrow mashed together, I decided not to persevere with the hard-copy documentation.

well yeah I did skim through the manual - starting from 'how to install' through to 'how to dogfight' etc etc but that was all of 5 mins on the train on the way home. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I've found that trying to land the SBD on the carrier is especially hard coz of the bombsight however I think you can move it away with Ctrl-D or something.
