Hi all,

I've currently got a XP2800 running on a Gigabyte GA7 VAXP (think correct number). I've got an x800pro (AGP) and an Audigy 2ZS, both of which I would like to keep as am on an extreme shoe string here.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Basically I want to upgrade the mobo and cpu only, I'm using 1.5 gb of pc2700 ram at the moment and have got a 520w psu.

Any ideas?

Btw I'm in the UK.

I know you are in the UK, so just use these two links for a mobo & cpu for information purposes only. Here is an AGP mobo from a reputable compny sporting the nForce 3 chipset and a 939-pin socket:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813123263

And here is a cpu to go along with it:

You are looking at $135 USD which should be around $72 GBP and that is if prices are similar. Your PC2700 is compatable as is the Audigy 2 and the PSU. A combination like this will bring you out of the dark ages m8 with your circa 2002 setup and it will give your X800 new life.

This is but one option. I am sure there are others.

Cheers m8 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Excellent help, as always.

I was looking at spending about 100 so I might even be able to go a little higher on the cpu... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
