View Full Version : How come there are NO large ships in my campaign anymore?

Ok, so my base changed to Brest recently, and every patrol i would visit the Am 52/53 grids and find convoys there every single time. Also, lone C2's regualrly sail in that passageway between the 2 islands, past Loch Ewe. I switched to 2nd flotilla to get a IXb boat for its larger torpedo hold (the torpedo load of a VIIb kept me from 100K http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )So now, there are NO convoys (on my last VIIb patrol i found 3 (!) at the same time in AM 52. As well as there are no large ships like C3's or tankers anywhere... All i saw for 2 looong patrols now were small/coastal merchants and 1 C2. Those mrchants show up where convoys once were.. I was hoping of decimating a convoy with this new boat, but they are just not there... Any help? I have no mods, latest patch, and i's now January of 1941

Convoy routes change every so often. Some routes were abandoned in favor of newer/different routes.

I find or get notice of convoys almost everytime so maybe your just running into some bad luck. Hit my first battleship tonight (Nelson) when HQ notified me of a warship. I figured it would be a lone Fiji or something but it turned out to be a task force of 2 or 3 destroyers, 2 Nelsons, and 5 Fiji cruisers. It was well worth the 200km+ to get within range as it was the first BS I've seen or sunk in a campaign.

They heard you got a bigger boat and decided to bug out...

Try one sector N of the AM 51-52, the convoys shifts a little N later on.

Maybe you sunk them all. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Or someone got there before you.

Allright, thanks for replies. I will continue searching to the North and see what happens. By the way, when do the convoys start going through the Gibraltar? In my last career i was operating in the mediterranean and i would see them come in every so often in 1943. When do they start appearing? It's January of 1941
