Wow - I remember my first ever post on these boards was about a similar story, German planes buried in secret bunkers that supposedly have never been found. Can't remember the name the Germans gave the plan, it was Operation something or other. It's a cool thought, well except for the bombs bit, that could be a bit dangerous I suppose.

this could mean:

there is a greater possibility of having german warbirds
if it isnt flooded that is

they'll probably be intact

(the most inplausible)

there could be german secret profects down there, like prototypes that they hid, just in case

*implausible*

i dont want to be branded a sensationalist

"Hundreds of thousands of them were constructed during the 12-year lifespan of the Nazi government: for every one metre of building above ground in modern-day Berlin, there are three metres below ground.

Bunkers are being discovered every day and a group called Underground Berlin has turned several of them into tourist attractions."

It's amazing to think what still lies under berlin. One can only imagine what might have survived the years. They obviously built enough bunkers to store quite a few interesting items.
I would believe there are probably no plans for those planes to see the light of day.

Interesting, would like to see them do an archeology dig on that site! Preferably on the Discovery channel /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
Love watching stuff like that. I saw a recent show filming the junk planes and artillery left over from vietnam, rotting in the jungle. Be cool to see somethin like these WW2 birds, dug up and exposed.

Okay, let's see, if this story pans out, I'm gonna need:

- a shovel
- a plane ticket (to get there)
- a couple of REALLY good EOD guys
- ...

In a similar vein, I believe they found a truck that had been walled in (by mistake) during the construction of the Pentagon (I think it was the Pentagon).

Vwery interesting. As Swivet mentioned I'd like to see those dust covered planes dig up on discovery channel also!
