View Full Version : IL-2 Stumovik: Simplify!

After much time contending with no-starts, lock-ups, inconsistant frame rates, HOTAS configuration issues and other frustrations, I abandoned PF for a little while in favour of Oblivion ( http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif).

Then I installed the original IL-2, plugged in my MSFFB joystick and set up some QMB's. I don't think I've ever had so much fun! Released November, 2001 and it stills entertains/impresses me more than anything else on my HD.

Set up an I-16 mission to go after a HE-111 and it's 109 escort at sunset. Then an La5FN mission to find and take out ground convoy on a rainy afternoon. Atmospheric, tense and exciting!

you should get the complete DVD that has the Forgotten battles which was an expanded standalone version of the original, AEP the add on for that and PF in one megga game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I would, if I could get it shipped to Canada! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

It's frustrating that distribution is so weak. I'd gladly pay for the complete DVD plus a CD for each of the three add-ons.

Buy it as a dowload and burn it for future use?

Got mine from gogamer.com. They're in the U.S. and I'm pretty sure they ship to Canada.
