Like the B-17, B-24, B-29, Lancaster, Halifax, etc. This would be truly different and very interesting for the entire combat flight sim community! Think about it, I would be very interested in that! If you do develop it, I would buy and fly it!

Look for the Microprose's "B-17 II. The Mighty 8th". It is 5 or 6 years old, but still with acceptable graphics quality and a very good simulation. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
One major drawback though, at least for me. I was bored to death after the 4th mission. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hmm, an aerial SH3. That would be quite different, interesting.

It would need a stronger focus on advanced engine management. Setting pitch and mixture, etc. Advanced navigation and radar/radio navigation features. Sextants and thingies like that. It would end up playing like SH3, a game which should only be approached with the company of a good long book!

Like SH3, it would have greatly scalable realism.

Two people from my town won the VC for their bravery while flying Lancasters and Halifaxes. Both were pilots who remained in the aircraft to save incapacitated crewmen who died while landing their aircraft. Managing to return a damaged aircraft, flying on two engines with no navigator (who bailed out over Berlin due to communications failure) would be a good challenge.
