I've just been told this by an admin from Mission4Today. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif Should be available there the same way 4.09 was.

Should be a nice xmas gift for all of us. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Do you reckon there's a way to combine it with mods from the get go, or should we wait for the next ultrapack?

12-23-2010, 04:36 PM
Probably not until they update UP which will hopefully be soon.

12-23-2010, 04:37 PM
no. must be over clean 4.09

my guess is, that SAS will do a new mod activator fairly quickly, so people will be able to enable stand alone mods (6Dof for me, lol), but that the next ultrapack will be a while.

4.09 I think came out last October. UP 2.0 came out I think around last Christmas, so I guess it took them two months to do that.

I just posted on the UP site asking if anyone knew about when a new UP version would come out to work with 4.10.

I'll be hosting UbiZoo Coops Saturday using 4.10.

Only if you want a bunch of headaches... The folks at UP will have an answer to this soon enough I am sure.. but they will have to dump some of what is in the UP...

I wonder if he minimap mod will still conflict with Zuti.. (the one with the bi directional zoom)

This made my day..

Hades has just said over at ultrapack, he reckons about a month for the new pack.

12-23-2010, 05:25 PM
I'd say that a month to modify Ultrapack might be a little optimistic, given the changes that TD are introducing. Still, maybe they know more than they are letting on?

Actually, there are a few mods that have been held up for the patch and UP update, so we can expect a whole lot of goodies in the coming months...

Apparently there is a way to run stock 4.10 in a UP install with the JSGME. Check the general discussion page at the UP site for details. I haven't checked it out yet but I will do so in a bit.

This is great news but can't understand why the first things everyone worries about are the mods when there is so much good stuff with the stock 4.10.

12-24-2010, 12:00 AM
Well if you're dumb like me you didn't make a backup stock install. I used to have a 4.09 one but a few months ago I screwed up all my Il-2 files and had to reinstall everything and it took so long I never bothered making a backup folder.

WOW, its out and it works just fine, I am pleasantly suprised and other than the new joystick settings all works well. I had to make a minor readjustment to steer the guided bombs in my controls section and alls well. Bino view in torpedo planes is shift f1 once in bombardiers view. Tommorrow is tinkering with the navigation stuff. Thanks so much team daidelos, very good stuff and the cockpit of the hs-129 is stuning and makes nme feel cramped up at home, what a view.

I tried the workaround listed on UP and it works. For some reason I can't seem to be able to make a new Il-2 install (when I try to install it from the disk it asks me if I wan to uninstall it) and I can't figure out how to duplicate my UP install and then uninstall it so I have a stock backup, so this workaround is the only way I can get 4.10 to run at all, and it works fine.
