View Full Version : Landing gear of Stuka

It's written at this page, that problem with landing gear of Stuka was fixed at patch 3.02, but I'm using 3.03 patch now and it's still there. If I'm diving from height more than 2000 m, there is great chance to break it, before I can release my bombload. The safest way to succesfull dive attack is to start at height 1500 m. And it's really very low for enemy AAA. You're feeling like a stationary target in that time. So please, do something with it.

I hear ya on that one, frustrating when I make a dive at between 400 and 450km/hr they just bust right off of there, kinda crazy, because I have a book called German Weapons of WWII, and it stated in the section about the Stuka that the maximun speed they could handle is around 600km/hr--what I recall. Although if you think about it, it can be a good thing because it reduces your drag, and can RTB a little faster while making a belly landing http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Sadly its not like you think, after loosing your gear your are 1) much slower than before 2) much more unstable...

It is true!
When I try to escape with my Stuka using diving I loose my landing gear may be near 400km/h.
Need fixing.

The Stuke is the plane I used 80% of the time (others are F8, 111, 110) and I can assure you that I never had this problem since the patch. Even with the 3.02, it was possible to dive bomb without breaking the gear. Not too high, power down, loadout not too heavy...

This might be a stupid question, but do you put the dive brake on??????

Otherwise, my only advice would be uninstall/reinstall!!!

BTW, remeber that the Stuka and the Wildcat are the only planes with which you can land on one leg without destroying the propeller. In some cases, you are not counted as "crash landed"! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
